I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Ps. 139:14

At Riverside Christian Academy, our purposes go beyond simply helping
students learn the academics required to enter college or to get a good career.
We desire to build a life-long burning passion to learn and grow spiritually.
It is one thing to want children to be successful and quite another to provide the
academic and character training to ensure their success.
Our curriculum introduces students to concrete and abstract reasoning skills at
appropriate age levels.
Diagnostic placement testing determines if there are any "learning gaps".
Students can simply fill in those "learning gaps" without the stigma of 'failing' a
grade or falling behind.
Riverside Christian Academy provides students with mastery learning, critical
analysis, conceptualizations, cognitive reasoning, and life from God's perspective
Riverside Christian Academy embraces the conviction that all learners have
distinct needs and learning styles, and each child is uniquely designed by God.
We encourage students to be individuals. Sometimes it may seem 'easier' for all
students to fit into one mold, but what a boring world that would be !
Roman 12: 2 states that non-conformity is not only OK, it is Biblical. God created
each child individually to fulfill a special plan chosen specifically for his or her life.
We cannot 're-wire' a child's mind, but we can manage a child's learning.
We help each of our students to identify and celebrate their strengths, and then
help them to find their 'niche' in life. Find one thing that each child loves, and
have him or her become the class expert.
Expertise in any area raises a child's confidence level and helps to foster a
positive attitude.
For example - one of the best ways to learn to read well is to read extensively
about something you like.
Above all else, we saturate each student's mind with Scripture, so that they can
know how much they are loved by God. Then they can say with the Psalmist, "I
will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
Knowledge apart from application falls short of God's desire for His children.
Knowledge must result in change and growth.
One of the components of being a strong Christian presence in the community is
to be involved in the community, serving it in various ways to give witness to
Riverside Christian Academy's core values.
A key piece of this is the school's Community Service program. As students fulfill
their commitments in this program, they are then credited with being an active
participant in the program.
".. be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God Romans 12:2
